Annual Parish Meeting to take place on Thursday the 16th of May 2019 at 7pm
Electors of the Parish of Stoke St. Michael are invited to attend and participate in the Annual Parish Meeting. This is an opportunity to hear from representatives of various community groups and charities about the roles they undertake and their work in delivering supporting services in the parish. Following the presenting of statements of activity from community groups the Chair of the Parish Council will give an overview of the work of the Parish Council over the last year. The meeting will then be open to questions and comments from the floor.

Notices of Election for the District and Parish Council elections to be held on 2 May 2019
Candidate packs are available from the District Council for both independent and party political candidates.
The packs can be collected from the Council Offices, can be send by post on request or can be downloaded from the Mendip District Council website.
Nomination papers should be delivered by hand, please do not post them.
The first day that they can be accepted is 19 March, and there will be a specific office where they can be delivered.

Road Closure Notice
Stoke St Michael Parish have received notification of a temporary closure of (A367) Fosse Way and (A367) Bath Road
from Somerset Highways.
This road will be closed from 18th February 2019 and is expected to last for 5 days (07.30 - 17.30hrs) to
enable phased resurfacing works to be carried out.

The Parish Council has formed a working party to investigate the possibility of a pedestrian safety scheme for Stoke St Michael due to the lack of pavements. Vectos, Transport Planning Specialists presented 2 options at a public meeting on the 23rd February and can be seen below
